What's the entrance fee? And why? And where?
You have to buy a separate ticket for each day, so there is no whole weekend ticket and no family ticket. So each person who pays has their own.
Why the entrance fee?
The whole event of the Karlstein wine festival is organized by the Karlstein Cultural Association within the framework of free time, without any fees. We enjoy this work, even though it is a lot of it. We have a lot of external costs that we need help with from you, just in the form of entrance fee. We also manage to raise some funds through donations and grants from regional bodies and from stall hire.
These funds are used to pay for external participants (jugglers, trumpeters, fencing groups, ...) and their accommodation, technical facilities such as toilets, sound engineers, fees for the event, insurance of the event, renting costumes and their care after the event, exterior modifications, rental of the castle premises, etc.
Where is the entrance fee?
Within the municipality, see map, i.e. the central part of the municipality. Entrance is charged on both days of the event from 9:00 a.m. This admission fee is not included in the tickets for the Karlstein Castle sightseeing tours (National Heritage Institute), parking areas (Karlstein municipality) and admission to the knight tournaments on the banks of the Berounka river.
So what if I'm just passing through, I don't want to attend your event, I have to pay? Yes, you do.

Ticket is per person 15 y.o. and more, no family or group discounts.

Saturday - 250,- CZK
Paid time from 9:00 a.m. up 6:00 p.m.
Sunday - 200,- CZK
Paid time from 9:00 a.m. up 4:00 p.m.

You have sale 50,- CZK from us, but the GoOut ticket portal has some their additional fee. This one is 15,- CZK per order (not per ticket). Each order can to contain up 10 tickets.
